Add tasks, ideas and notes in seconds

Separate work, customers, projects, personal life and whatever else matters to you.

Use priorities, dates, lists and NextApp's suggestion tool to decide what to do next.

NextApp can track what you work on now. If you are distracted, one look is all you need to continue.

NextApp synchronizes data between your devices. Use your PC in the office, a laptop off-site and your phone on the road.

Know what remains without mentally rehearsing your to-do list all evening.
Your task manager can contain an extraordinary amount of personal information: customers, deadlines, financial plans, health appointments, relationships, travel, unfinished ideas and everything you're worried about.
Many apps and platforms have no concept for privacy or confidentiality. NextApp is different.

NextApp has no telemetry and no profiling. No data is shared or sold. You can use our cloud service or run your own server for replication between your devices.
The app is self-sufficient and does not use services from Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Meta or any of the AI companies by itself.
You don't have to take our word for what the software does. NextApp is Open Source, released under the GNU GPL3 license.

Some days you can tackle the hardest problem on your list. Other days, getting three small things done is an achievement. NextApp helps you keep track of what matters without expecting every day to be your most productive day ever.
When you have exceptionally good days, you can ask NextApp for the demanding actions, sorted by priority. Ask for the easy actions on bad days.
NextApp allows you to score your days. This allows you to reward yourself with a Green Day on your scoreboard when you did well. It's both a record of your own performance and a motivation to keep going on difficult days.
NextApp lets you start, pause and finish actions. This gives you an easy overview on how you spent your time with daily and weekly summaries. It also reminds you about what you are working on during the day.
This is not an app made for the group-think guild.
The goal has never been to make a mainstream to-do list. There are plenty of those. NextApp is different. It's not a web-page, like almost all "modern" apps. It's carefully designed to handle the needs and expectations of people who actually give a f*ck about their lives and work.
We haven't thought about everything. But we deeply care about NextApp, and we are eager to listen to you - add features you need and remove friction you experience. Just talk to us. You will always get in touch with a real person.

Keep your calm and spend your time wisely based on your resources and actual priorities. Plan ahead and adjust as needed.
Enjoy a fast, native desktop app, Linux support, open source and self-hosting your own backend. Add your own features if and when you need them. PRs are very welcome.
Organize customers, projects and commitments without deploying an enterprise collaboration platform.
Living with ADHD is hard. It's not always enough just to know what you should do. NextApp can't fix that - but it will remember everything you did not do. That gives you some relief when you have energy and motivation, and a simple way to get an overview over what's most important.
This app is basically made for you! Developed by a company in the EU, run by someone who has been advocating for privacy since the early 1980s.
Shopping lists and major life projects can live in the same system. NextApp doesn't assume your life ends when you leave work. It's also a natural place to put your repeatable actions and promises so you calmly keep all your obligations to everyone.

CEOs love it. Most people don't. NextApp has experimental MCP support, and several new AI features are coming.
But AI is and will always be Opt In. All the planned AI features are designed to work with privacy friendly local or private models.
NextApp takes inspiration from Getting Things Done: capture what's on your mind, clarify it, organize it, review it, and act on what makes sense now.
No. This is not a "vibe-coded" app. The project began in August 2023. The main developer, Jarle Aase, has 40 years of experience as a software developer. Most of the code was written by hand.
Independent · Open source · European.
NextApp isn't funded by advertising and doesn't have investors demanding that your data be monetized. The software is open source, developed by The Last Viking LTD in Bulgaria which is part of the EU. The owner is Norwegian.
In a world filled with greed and exploitation, we do things the other way. We have users, not subjects. We have customers, not consumers. We aim to make high quality software that you will love. This is our vision for success.
